Real Madrid are in action at the Santiago Bernabéu on matchday 25 of LaLiga (9pm CET).

This evening Real Madrid return to LaLiga action when the welcome Alavés to the Santiago Bernabéu on matchday 25 of the domestic competition (9pm CET), as Carlo Ancelotti´s side go in search of another three points to strengthen their lead at the top of the table.  

The Whites have not been defeated on home soil in the league for over a year now (22 games, with a record of 15 wins and seven draws). The hosts will be vying to extend this fine run at the Santiago Bernabéu against a side who were beaten by Carlo Ancelotti´s team in the reverse fixture, which was their first official game of this season, at Mendizorroza (1-4).

"It's a crucial time in LaLiga and we want to maintain our advantage”, said the Italian coach in the press conference ahead of the clash. The team´s two top scorers, Karim Benzema and Vini Jr. – the Frenchman with 17 goals in the competition and the Brazilian with 12 – both return to the squad for the match.

The opposition
Alavés currently sit in eighteenth position in the table on 20 points. José Luis Mendilibar’s side defeated Valencia last time out thanks to a goal by Joselu, the team´s top goal-scorer (12) so far this campaign.
