It’s first against third on matchday 15 of the league campaign, when Real Madrid host Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabéu in what promises to be a cracker. The hosts will be aiming to pick up a tenth win of the season to cement their place at the top of the table, having moved first last week.
Madrid go into the clash on a fine unbeaten run of eight games in both LaLiga and the Champions League, winning their last five matches in the process. The team’s record against Sevilla on home soil is also impressive, as the side hasn’t lost in its previous 12 meetings (11 wins and one draw).

“We face a very tough game and will need to be at our best”, said Carlo Ancelotti in the press conference ahead of the clash. The Italian’s squad includes the in-form Toni Kroos who has produced two goals in his last two outings, along with Karim Benzema and Vini Jr., the league’s highest-scoring partnership with 18 goals between them.
The fixture sees the league’s two highest-scoring sides go head to head at the Bernabéu. Real Madrid have netted a total of 32 goals, while the Andalusian outfit has found the back of the net on 23 occasions from 13 games played. Sevilla’s new signings, Lamela and Rafa Mir, have contributed four goals apiece, while En Nesyri has scored three. Lopetegui’s side are also solid in defence and have only lost once all season, only conceding nine goals in the process.
