Tonight will see Real Madrid run out at the Sherrif Stadion for the first time in the club's history as our team face off against Sheriff Tiraspol in the penultimate matchday in Group D of the Champions League (9pm CET). The Whites will take to a stadium that is less than 20 years old and boasts a capacity of 13,000. All of its stands are covered so as to protect spectators from poor weather conditions and the pitch features an underground heating system.
The pitch is located within the Sheriff sports complex, which spans 40 hectares and also contains another 8,000-capacity stadium; eight training pitches; a covered artificial pitch arena that can house 3,750 spectators; a multiuse sports court with a wooden flooring; accommodation for the team; a five-star hotel and a football complex for children.
