David Aznar’s side remain second in Group B of the Women’s Champions League group stage.

Real Madrid slipped to a narrow defeat at the hands of PSG who left Madrid with the three points (0-2). The Whites pressed forward from the kick-off and went close early on through Esther, first when she headed wide and then in the 9th minute when she tried her luck from distance but her effort went over the crossbar. The visitors posed a threat on the counter-attack and soon took the lead through Katoto on the half-hour mark. On the stroke of half-time, Misa produced a sublime save to deny PSG a second goal.

After the re-start, Esther almost drew level on 50’. Olga drove down the left wing and crossed for the forward but her shot was well blocked by the out-stretched Labbe. PSG looked to hit Madrid from dead-ball situations and from the wings, but Misa and the defence remained solid throughout to frustrate the French side. Olga almost found an equaliser on 68’, but her cross-shot swerved into the side-netting. Two minutes later, the visitors scored their second through Karchaoui. M. Corredera almost reduced the deficit on 78’, but her strike from the edge of the area flew over the crossbar. David Aznar’s side must now turn their attention to Sunday’s league clash against Alavés (6:30 pm CET).
