Walter Tavares has been crowned as the Endesa League MVP Movistar for October. The Real Madrid center averaged 11.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and a PIR of 20.2 across the five games played last month. These statistics were enough to earn him this award for the second time in his career.
Tavares enjoyed a sensational October with Real Madrid. His fine run of form began in the match-up against Tenerife, in which he posted nine points, six rebounds, four assists and blocks apiece, received three fouls and chalked up a PIR of 20. In the road trips to Valencia Basket and Breogán, the man from Cape Verde netted 19 points and ended both games with a PIR of 32. His best performance was in the WiZink meeting with Gran Canaria, against whom he registered 18 points, 13 rebounds and a PIR of 31.

Tavares closed out the month with 12 points, four rebounds and a PIR of 17 against Bitci Baskonia. The madridista center ended October with an average of 11.6 points (74.1% on two-pointers), 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, 1.8 assists and a PIR of 20.2.
