2-2: Inter draw with Sampdoria ahead of Real Madrid clash

Dimarco and Lautaro got the goals for Inter, Ancelotti's side's upcoming Champions League rivals.
Inter Milan drew on their league visit to Sampdoria prior to welcoming Real Madrid to the San Siro for the opening match of the Champions League Group Stage. A wonderful Federico Dimarco free-kick and a strike by Lautaro Martínez put Inter in front twice, but the hosts responded on both occasions with goals by Maya Yoshida and Tommaso Augello.

With 18 minutes gone, Dimarco put the Milan side in front when his spectacular free-kick flew into the back of the net. Lautaro hit another lovely goal on the stroke of half-time to take the lead once again in Marasi, after Yoshida had equalised minutes before, the Argentine striker smashing home Barella's cross with his left boot. However, Sampdoria levelled once again after the break through Augello. With three games played, Inter sit on seven points and are just two off Napoli in top spot.
