The Foundation's first online training courses for the school in Gorongosa

Developed in partnership with the NGO Crusade for Children in rural communities around the Gorongosa National Park (Mozambique).
The Real Madrid Foundation's sports coaches at the social sports school in the Gorongosa National Park (Mozambique) took part in an online training course in football and values. With the support of the NGO Crusade for Children, the project reaches almost 800 children in rural communities, offering activities linked to education, health and environmental care.
Due to the conditions on the ground, the training sessions had to be divided into four meetings, with the coaches involved for two days. They stay at the training area in order to ensure that they have access to the internet and the necessary means to receive sporting, pedagogical and methodological training.

The objective of the project was to communicate the Foundation's work methodology and to provide them with support in order to put into practice the project For a Real Education: Values and Sport, using the sporting activities that they run.

The project reaches almost 800 children in rural communities.

The school launched in 2018 and has seen very rapid growth. In spite of the material difficulties and the need for training and support, the coaches have demonstrated a great commitment to learning how to teach football in a fun and entertaining way while transmitting values.

One of the objectives of the project is to protect and empower the children, given that early pregnancies and child marriages still occur frequently in this region, as well as other circumstances in which the participants are lacking protection, and where this type of initiative is of great value.
