Laso: “We knew it'd be a tough game and we lacked that bit of energy”

“I'm proud of the way in which the team has worked throughout the whole season”, added the coach.
Pablo Laso reflected on the second match-up of the league final series at the Palau Blaugrana in the following terms: "We knew it'd be a tough game and we lacked that bit of energy. Barça is deserved winners. Firstly, I want to thank my team for their efforts throughout what has been a really tough season. We have managed to reach three domestic finals in the Super Cup, the Copa del Rey and the league. That speaks volumes of the players' work during the whole season. They're down, that's normal, I am too, but I congratulate them on their efforts and am really proud of the way in which the team has worked throughout the whole season".

"There are seasons that are measured on silverware alone. I'm honestly really proud of how the team has carried itself since the first day of training. I really appreciate the support from the madridistas during the season because they've seen the team really suffer in many adverse situations. However, the team has never given up and fought until the end, up until as far as we could go. We managed to compete until the end in the last game. The bitter taste following tonight's defeat mustn't overshadown our season".

Future
"Llull and I are two people who give our all for the club. It's just who I am and it's the only way I know how. It makes me proud to coach Real Madrid and so whenever the club calls on me I'll continue to be Real Madrid coach. As for Llull, my view is the same. The effort he's put in to recover and be available for the final games, with seven matche in 16 days, without having trained is something that I'm sure all the madridistas will appreciate. We're people who enjoy winning and live and breathe to win".
