A share of the funds will go towards the running of the joint project to assist the homeless.
For a fifth consecutive year, the Real Madrid Foundation is supporting the Spanish Red Cross's Sorteo de Oro (Golden Draw), which will take place in Madrid on 22 July. The two institutions have worked together on a number of social outreach projects, including an initiative to support the homeless, which will receive a share of the funds from the sale of prize draw tickets.

The project run by the Red Cross and the Real Madrid Foundation in the Spanish capital aims to improve the quality of life of the homeless, a group who live in an extremely vulnerable situation and that has been severely affected by the pandemic, through sport. Through the sport activation programme for the homeless, the Foundation and the Red Cross particularly highlight the importance of motivation in terms of effort, self-improvement, self-esteem, equality of opportunity and autonomy in sessions led by Real Madrid Foundation coaches.
Aid during the pandemic
The Red Cross volunteers involved in the Homeless Support Programme have continued to support the homeless during the course of the pandemic and offered assistance in areas such as overnight accommodation and care, social assistance (shelter, assessments, etc), coverage of basic needs, covering the cost of transport to reach their workplace or to other provinces.
Purchasing tickets & prizes
Tickets for the Gold Draw can be purchased at various sale points and are priced at 5 euros. Tickets may also be bought online via the Real Madrid Foundation's website at any time up until the draw, to be held on 22 July in Madrid. This year's jackpot is 3 million euros, whilst there is a second prize of 1,000,000 euros and a third of 500,000 euros (or the equivalent in gold), as well as prizes of lower value, which all combine to a total of 11,700 prizes valued at over 7 million euros.

Meanwhile, by buying a ticket, you will be entered into a prize draw for three outreach trips for two people that will take you into the very heart of Red Cross's projects and offer a first-hand insight into the work the charity does in Spain to change the lives of the most needy.
