Today sees Thibaut Courtois turn 29 in this, his third season as a Real Madrid player. The custodian’s trophy haul with the Whites features a Club World Cup, a LaLiga title and a Spanish Super Cup. Courtois made his Real Madrid debut on 1 September 2018 in the meeting with Leganés at the Bernabéu and has since gone on to make 126 appearances.

The Belgian goalkeeper enjoyed a stellar season last time round to help the club to a 34th LaLiga title as he landed the Zamora Trophy in the process. So far this campaign, he has recorded 16 clean sheets. Courtois, who was born in Bree on 11 May 1992, is a Belgian international and claimed the Golden Glove at the last World Cup just prior to joining Real Madrid.
