The students at the Real Madrid Foundation's inclusive football school at the Ideo school in Madrid this season have received a special visit. Real Madrid star Maite Oroz posed for photographs and took part in training with the beneficiaries, who enjoyed spending time with the midfielder. The session took place under a strict healthcare protocol as laid out by the authorities all time.

Maite Oroz joined in with the sporting practice alongside these young people with Down Syndrome and other disabilities. The player surprised the participants with a gift, before reflecting: "These kinds of experiences are so gratifying and I hope it's helping them in some way. These are the values of this club and our players. All the work the Foundation does behind the scenes is so admirable and sometimes we don't even realize but when you come here, you see the good work that's being carried out".

These activities aim to provide the beneficiaries with technical and tactical abilities, as well as the social norms required to play, geared towards their successful inclusion in a social sports school alongside young people without disabilities. The children are divided into 4 groups of 10, depending on their age and support requirements, and are provided with weekly training by our coaches. This season, in order to minimise the risk of COVID-19 infection, students' temperature is taken prior to the start of the session, they wash their hands and feet and all material used is disinfected, while activities are conducted while wearing masks.
