Real Madrid saw off CSKA Moscow in the return leg of the final (76-62).
A year after clinching the club's maiden European Cup crown, Real Madrid successfully defended the title to pick up a second continental trophy. That win came 56 years ago in a two-legged final against CSKA Moscow. After being downed in a 88-81 first-leg defeat, our team clinched glory after a comprehensive 76-62 triumph in the return leg, which was played in Madrid on 13 April 1965.

Despite heading into the decisive match-up with a seven-point disadvantage, the madridistas massively outperformed the Russians.
Emiliano (24 points) and Luyk (18) paced Pedro Ferrándiz's troops to victory in a season in which the team also captured the league title and the Copa. This was the first of legendary Whites' chief's four European Cup triumphs at the Real Madrid helm.
