Real Madrid will play its eighth straight EuroLeague playoffs

The best-of-five playoff will take place from 20 April to 5 May.
Real Madrid had to wait until the final round but the side guaranteed its place among the eight best teams in the EuroLeague. The team's victory away to Fenerbahçe on the last round of the regular season secured its place in the title playoffs. Pablo Laso's side have not missed these playoffs since the 2012-13 season, with the exception of last season's Euroleague, when the competition was cancelled due to COVID-19. They have also reached the Final Four in six of these seven seasons, winning the title in Madrid 2015 and Belgrade 2018. Only in the 2015-16 season did the team fail to do so.

The EuroLeague playoffs will be contested from 20 April to 5 May, with a best-of-five elimination round. Real Madrid will have to wait until the end of the final round of the Regular Season to discover its opponent. Laso's charges can finish fifth or sixth, meaning that the first two games will be played away from the WiZink Center. The third game, and the fourth, if there is one, will be on Madrid's home court; while a potential fifth game will be played away from home.

No home-court advantage
The madridistas fully understand what it is like to play in the playoffs with home-court advantage. The last time they did so, they eliminated Panathinaikos 3-1 in the 2017-18 season after losing the first game and winning the next three. That year, Real Madrid went on to win La Décima in Belgrade. Maccabi (2013), Olympiacos (2014), Anadolu Efes (2015), Fenerbahçe (2016), Darussafaka (2017) and Panathinaikos (2018 and 2019) have all faced the Whites during this run.
