Raúl's side will face the top three from Subgroup B of Group V as they bid to progress to the promotion playoffs.
Real Madrid Castilla finished in second place in Group V Subgroup A and will play the second stage of the competition as they fight for a place in the playoffs for promotion to the Second Division. Raúl's side now enter a new format, in which the top three teams from Subgroups A and B of Group V merge to form one group.
All six teams keep the number of points, wins, draws, defeats, goals scored and goals conceded from the first phase. Castilla will face the three teams from Subgroup B of Group V (Badajoz, Extremadura and Talavera). If they finish in the top three, or come fourth with the best coefficient of the five groups in the division, they will play in the playoffs for promotion to the Segunda División. Should they fail to qualify for the final phase, the academy side is already assured of a place in the new RFEF Primera División next season.
Playoffs to Segunda
Sixteen teams will take part and will play each other in single-match knockout rounds, which will be drawn at random, pitting the best-placed teams against the lowest-placed teams from the previous group. The knockout phase will take place at a single venue designated by the RFEF. In order to qualify as one of the four teams to be promoted to the Segunda Division, the teams will have to pass two rounds.
