Florentino Pérez and Irene Lozano signed the agreement, which will contribute to the running of the projects that support minors.
Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, and the chairwoman of Spain's High Council for Sport (CSD), Irene Lozano, came together to sign a partnership agreement between the Youth Sport Foundation (Fundación Deporte Joven) and the Real Madrid Foundation. The ceremony, which took place at Real Madrid City, was also attended by the executive vice-president of the Real Madrid Foundation, Enrique Sánchez; the director general of the Youth Sport Foundation, Félix Jordán de Urríes; and the director general of the Real Madrid Foundation, Julio González Ronco.

This is the second agreement between the two institutions, who previously partnered on several programmes between 2006 and 2011. The two organisations share common objectives, such as the promotion of physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits from a young age, whilst they also hold an interest in fostering an education provision that features positive universal values through sport, as well as catering for diversity through sport.

Objective of the link-up
The partnership is focused on supporting the ongoing work carried out by the Real Madrid Foundation across 25 youth centres, which cater for almost 1,000 unaccompanied children who are looked after by the public authorities. The Foundation’s work consists of weekly socio-sporting, values-based football and basketball activities. The partnership will contribute towards the running of these initiatives.

The link-up is focused on supporting the ongoing work carried out by the Real Madrid Foundation across 25 youth centres.

Speaking at the event, Lozano, the chairwoman of the CSD and the Youth Sport Foundation, expressed her "satisfaction at once again working alongside an iconic institution like Real Madrid, on this occasion through its Foundation, which represents so many values, and to be able to work together to help the most disadvantaged groups through sport, a tool that is so successful in achieving integration. We at the Youth Sport Foundation work tirelessly to improve the lives of our youth and society in general through sport and as institutions, we have to join forces to seek more ambitious objectives".

Florentino Pérez: "We will up our efforts as we continue to work for the most needy"
"In these very difficult times, we at Real Madrid and the Real Madrid Foundation will up our efforts as we continue to work for the most needy, particularly children at risk from social exclusion. The Real Madrid Foundation will always be there for our society and institutions to work together on socio-sporting projects that are as necessary as these".
