"We faced Valencia Basket a week ago, but they've since welcomed some important players back and it's always a tough game", he declared.
Pablo Laso spoke to the media to preview the EuroLeague Round 25 match-up between Real Madrid and Valencia Basket (9pm CET) and the coach had the following to say: “The team is doing fine. It’s a  really big effort, what with three really demanding games in the space of four days and that takes its toll. We were already up against it before with injuries to Jeff and Usman. We’ve more or less managed to get Garuba back quickly, but Taylor is still sidelined. We lost Rudy in the Copa del Rey, we're going to have to wait a little bit on his recovery, but obviously he won't be back this week”.

“It’s not an ideal situation, but it is what it is, especially when you consider that now we've got a really tough EuroLeague game. We played them a week ago, but they've since welcomed important players back in the shape of Williams, Sastre, San Emeterio and Vives. We know that it's always a tough and difficult game against them and I'm sure that’ll be the case again tomorrow”.
Team's priorities
“Now it's all about getting back to our best. Right since our first game on Baskonia’s court, I said that to compete in the EuroLeague you need to play good basketball and need to be ready to compete against the best teams in Europe. We've got to get back to our best. Sometimes that's not easy, you’ve got players missing, but in that regard I've only got good things to say about my players”.

Assessment of the season
“We're having a very good season in many respects and we have to improve in other areas. You've always got to think like that and it’s simply our duty. Right now our objective has to be to make the playoffs. The standings are very tight and there are many teams who have a chance of making those playoffs. Our first objective has to be to secure qualification for the playoffs and that will then allow us to look at the next objective”
