The game was an end-to-end encounter with several chances falling to both sides, the first of which went to Castilla in the opening exchanges. Morante latched onto a loose ball in the opposition defence after a ball in by Santos, but his header crept just wide. Las Rozas went close with a free kick from Losada on 10’, before Raúl’s team had another good chance five minutes later when Peter’s effort was pushed away by the visiting keeper, Badishile.
Hugo Duro scored his sixth goal for Castilla.
The contest was wide open and on 27’, Indiano broke the deadlock to put Las Rozas ahead. Castilla continued to pile forward and Hugo Duro wanted a penalty after some shirt-tugging in the box, but the referee was not interested. Losada then struck the post for Las Rozas, before Castilla had another appeal for a penalty turned down after a push on Peter by Chechu. The madridistas kept plugging away and on the stroke of half-time they got their reward. Morante slipped in Hugo Vallejo who cut inside to beat two players before firing in over the keeper (44’).
Sublime second-half performance
Hugo Vallejo was again in fine form after the restart as he went close to putting the hosts ahead on two occasions. But the visitors still posed a threat on Luis López’s goal. Ramos Mingo saw his headed effort come back off the post, but it was Castilla who took the lead. On 64’, Hugo Duro calmly slotted home a penalty after a handball in the visitors’ defence. The academy side were not happy to sit back and sealed the three points when César showed great composure to lift the ball over the on-rushing keeper (3-1, 74’). In the 83rd minute Latasa thought he had scored his side’s fourth, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Castilla secured the spoils and must now turn their attention to Sunday’s visit to Navalcarnero.
