Over 350 youngsters benefit from the weekly sessions laid on by the project's educational coaches.
For the first time since the project was launched in 2012, the football and values training sessions that the Real Madrid Foundation offers the coaches from the socio-sporting school in Arlington, VA (United States) have been held online, as a result of the pandemic.
A dozen coaches from the Arlington Soccer Association (ASA), the Foundation's local social partner, led by its head of operations, Melissa Riemer, took part in the online sessions to bring their knowledge of the Foundation's educational methodology up to date and take a closer look at the content planning and methods to adapt to the new circumstances.
Improving social integration
The Foundation's school in Arlington, run in conjunction with ASA, has catered for over 350 children from nine schools since 2012. The Foundation's main objective is to improve the social integration of these youngsters through socio-educational and sporting activities.
