"It's important to win away from home and we have to keep doing that," explained Tavares.
Pablo Laso and Walter Tavares analysed the victory against Bayern Munich after the match. The coach highlighted the team's performance: "I congratulate the players for the victory because it was a very difficult match. From the very beginning. Bayern deserve a lot of credit for the way the team played and we have a lot of respect for them. They played at a high level and today they have shown it. It was a very even match. We played intelligently in overtime, both defensively and offensively, and we got a difficult win away from home. It's one more victory and we have to think about the next game.

"They are a very athletic team, they play hard with and without the ball and make it difficult to move the ball, but in the end we found many situations that have given us an advantage in the zone. We moved the ball well there. But then they came back with three three pointers. That speaks volumes about their mentality and that of their coach. I also congratulate my team because they were focused throughout the game.

"Today is a sad day for basketball. Miki Vukovic, a person I knew and respected very much, has died. Basketball loses a great person".

Tavares: "We are managing the matches patiently"
"We were focused and wanted to win the game. It was important to get it right and to defend at the end. We are managing the games patiently. We know that none of them will be easy, because this is the EuroLeague and we are up against the best teams in Europe. It's important to win away from home. It's complicated and we have to continue like this.

"I tried to help as much as I could. My concern is always defence and then in attack it's all about finishing. I'm taking it one step at a time and I want to keep improving. I still have a long way to go but I'm delighted."
