Real Madrid failed to pick up a fourth successive win as they were beaten on their trip to UDG Tenerife (2-1) on match day seven in the league. David Aznar's side went ahead through Asllani, who converted a penalty on 54 minutes, but the hosts came back with goals for Patri  and Clare. The Whites' next game comes on Sunday against Athletic at home.
The game kicked off with the hosts displaying real intensity. They fired off two warning shots after 2 and 9 minutes, with two long-range efforts by Poljack which failed to find the target. The madridistas reacted when Cardona shot wide on 14’, but it took until after the half-hour mark for real chances to arrive for either side. First, Doblado nearly caught out Misa with a fizzed ball in, before María José's header came close. David Aznar's charges reacted swiftly before the break, Asllani striking the post after latching on to a nice Teresa through ball.

Despite UDG Tenerife's pressure following the restart, Real Madrid didn't give in and with 53 minutes gone, the referee gave a penalty for a handball by Simpson. Asllani duly converted from 12 yards to continue her goalscoring streak (five successive games). However, the hosts then turned the game on its head within 20 minutes. First, a free-kick which took a deflection which was pounced on by Patri, who beat Misa; then, with 73 minutes on the clock, Clare turned in a cross to make it 2-1. David Aznar's team pushed forward in search of an equaliser and Jessica Martínez came close to finding it but her header wasn't enough to trouble the Canary Island side's goalkeeper.
