"We put in two great performances and it's a credit to the team", explained the Argentinean after lifting the trophy for the second year in a row.
Facundo Campazzo was named MVP of the 2020 Super Cup held in Tenerife. The Argentine point guard, who averaged 15 points, 4.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 17 PIR, was instrumental in Real Madrid winning their seventh title in this competition. It is the second time that he has won this award in a row, equaling his teammate Sergio Llull as the Madrid player with the most MVP trophies.
At the end of the match, he said: "I don't want to think beyond today. Now it's time to enjoy the moment. My team-mates make my day-to-day life amazing. I'm giving everything at Real Madrid and I'll stay here giving 100%. The important thing is the title, no matter which one it is. We try to fight for all the objectives that are put in front of us. We came up against a Tenerife in first place and a very tough Barça today. We put in two great performances and it's to the credit of the team".
"To win against Barca we knew that as well as intensity and heart we had to play good basketball. You have to set the pace and defend hard. Laso's message came across perfectly and we were able to do it".
