Real Madrid finished the 2016/17 campaign with 93 points, three more than Barcelona (90), who were second. That year, the Whites broke the away goals record in the history of LaLiga (58) and scored 106 at the end of the championship. The team also scored in all 38 matchdays. Real Madrid's top scorer was Cristiano Ronaldo, with 25 goals.
An historic year
2017 was the best year in the history of the club in terms of football titles, as five were won. The European Supercup, which was won in Macedonia against Manchester United; the Spanish Supercup, won against Barcelona; and the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, against Gremio, accompanied the success in LaLiga and the twelfth European Cup, won in Cardiff against Juventus.
