Real Madrid downed Náutico de Tenerife in the final in a 107-82 win.
On 2 May 1965, Real Madrid's basketball team lifted its ninth Spanish Cup. The Whites tasted glory after seeing off RC Náutico Tenerife (107-82) in a final played in Salamanca. This triumph saw Pedro Ferrándiz's charges capture the first of the three consecutive Spanish Cups that the team claimed between 1965 and 1967.

En route to the final, the Whites had downed Picadero (89-66) in the quarters and Joventut (107-103) in the semi-final. This Spanish Cup success saw Real Madrid secure all three major competitions in the same season for the first time in the club's history, after the madridistas had already captured the league crown and the European Cup in this same campaign.
