The center has lifted six pieces of silverware in his two-and-a-half-year spell in a Whites' jersey.
Walter Tavares racked up his 200th appearance for Real Madrid in the EuroLeague Round 26 match-up against Panathinaikos. Since checking in at the Whites in the 2017/18 season, the Cape Verde-born center has played an instrumental role in the team's success and has gone on to become one of the best inside players in Europe. His trophy haul as a madridista features six pieces of silverware: a EuroLeague crown, two league titles, a Copa del Rey and a pair of Spanish Super Cups.

Tavares isn't your average player, he has the ability to alter the opposition's game, thanks to his massively intimidating presence, afforded by his 2.20 m frame, his great agility and speed of movement in and around the basket. In the semi-final of the last Spanish Super Cup, he managed seven blocks, whilst in the league he averages 1.9 in his 98 appearances for the club. His best performance for Real Madrid came in last season's contest against Panathinaikos, when he posted a PIR of 32.

Individual accolades
Tavares's 200 appearances can be broken down as follows: 98 in the league, 89 in the EuroLeague, nine in the Copa del Rey and four in the Spanish Super Cup. During his Real Madrid career, the center has been named as the EuroLeague's Best Defender in the 2018/19 season and made the league's Best Five in the 2018/19 season.
