The Whites face the Basque team in a never before seen quarter-final (9:30pm CET).
Real Madrid head to the Martín Carpena in Málaga tonight as they look to start their journey towards their 28th Copa del Rey. The most successful team in the competición face Bilbao Basket in a never before seen quarter-final after the Basque team recently got promoted. They return to the Copa after four years away. After winning Super CupLaso's team want a second title of the season.

Malaga has given Real Madrid some very good memories. It was in Malaga, six years ago, that Felipe Reyes lifted a 24th Copa del Rey in a historic final that saw Llull get the winner in the final second (77-76). Since then the team have clinched three other titles (2015, 2016 and 2017) and been to two more finals (2018 and 2019). The draw has seen the Whites get Bilbao Basket, and they will be motivated to win after a long absence (they have been missing from the tournament since 2015-16) and have done well recently (going from the LEB to the Copa in just two years).

Real Madrid have not missed a semi-final of the Copa since 2013.

Real Madrid is in fine condition after having won all three games last week (Baskonia, Alba Berlin and Coosur Betis). Their opponents have 8 wins from 9 and saw off four ACB teams who are in the Euroleague, and they even beat the Whites earlier this season (82-81). In the Copa, Real Madrid have made it to the semi-finals in the last six editions (since Malaga 2014), while Bilbao Basket are looking for their third appearance in that round.
Bilbao Basket
Mumbrú’s team will be without a key offensive player, Jaylon Brown, through injury. Haws, the newcomer comes in. The duo of Bouteille and Balvin will be ready for the game, and both are in the top 10 players in the league. They will need to carry the team on the rebound, something which, along with intimidation, is a strength of Real Madrid. All set for a great clash. Felipe Reyes may play his 16th Copa for the team and become the player with the most games in competition history, with 48.
