Real Madrid have twice visited Salamanca in the Copa del Rey. The first trip came in the round of 32 in the 1942/43 season, when the Whites ran out 1-0 winners courtesy of a Manuel Alday strike. The club's second trip was in the second round of the 1996/97 edition, with Víctor and Fernando Hierro on target to secure a 2-0 triumph.
Zinedine Zidane's men are set to lock horns with Unionistas de Salamanca for the first time in the club's history. The hosts, who were founded in 2013 and compete in Segunda B's Group 2, play their home games at Las Pistas del Helmántico.
