Today sees Marco Asensio celebrate his 24th birthday (21 January 1996, Palma de Mallorca) in this, his fourth season as a madridista. The attacker is currently working his way back to fitness following the injury he suffered to his left knee last summer. During his time with the Whites, he has chalked up 135 appearances, which have yielded 27 goals.
In terms of his trophy haul, Asensio has lifted two Champions League crowns, three Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, a LaLiga title and a pair of Spanish Super Cups. He has also played a starring role in some of the key moments in the club's recent history, including his strike in the final against Juventus, which secured the Duodécima, his goals against Barcelona that delivered the madridistas' 10th Spanish Super Cup and his goalscoring debut against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup. In addition, he is a senior international with Spain.
