The event was attended by Enrique Sánchez, Real Madrid Foundation Executive Vice-President, Alberto Reyero, Minister of Social Policy, Family, Equality and Birth in the Community of Madrid; Javier Luengo, Deputy Minister of Social Policies, Family, Equality and Birth in the Community of Madrid; Óscar Álvarez, manager of the Madrid Social Assistance Agency and club legends Álvaro Arbeloa and Rafa Rullán; as well as Marcelo and Reyes, representing the football and basketball squads.
During the presentation, Enrique Sánchez explained: “This campaign has seen us distribute more than 2,000 gifts across the main hospitals visited by the players back on the 16th of December, and among children living in youth protection centres throughout the Community of Madrid. Young people between 6 and 17 years old resident in the 52 centres in the Community of Madrid. We would like to thank the various entities who support us in this campaign. Many thanks to all of the fans who are with us today because your support is our motivation to be the club you all want us to be”.
Arbeloa: “This campaign helps the kids who need it most”
“Together, the start of the new year brings us all excitement and hope and Real Madrid want to give more every day. Just like every Christmas for the last 15 years, the Foundation has got this campaign underway in Madrid to support the children who need it most. This year we'll be able to assist almost 1,000 kids to make sure this festive period is that little bit happier”.
“Today, you represent those 1,000 children living in centres and it fills us with joy to be able to share the magic and hope that characterises Real Madrid. Today we're here to put the finishing touches on this campaign. We're the Three Kings come early”.
Alberto Reyero: “It's important for all children in Madrid to grow up equal”

The initiative has been running since 2005 as part of the socio-sporting activities overseen by the Real Madrid Foundation on a permanent basis throughout the season alongside the Community of Madrid. This Christmas, there are more than 2,000 beneficiaries including over 1,300 in care across the Community of Madrid and almost 1,000 in the region's public and private hospitals.
