Real Madrid were beaten on their visit to the Audi Dome in Munich, in a game they led for a spell in the opening quarter. Bayern reacted strongly though and maintained their advantage to the end. Randolph was the Whites' leading scorer with 17 points, while Garuba (12, 4 rebounds, PIR of 20) made his debut. Next up, it's Alba Berlin at the WiZink Center.

It was an even first quarter at a packed Audi Dome. An end-to-end start saw the score board changing rapidly, as Barthel and Monroe led the way for Bayern Munich, matched by Mickey (9) and Randolph (5) for Laso's team. A Koponen triple sealed the lead for the hosts at the end (22-20). The second period began sloppily for Real Madrid, and the German side pounced on the opportunity to build up a ten-point advantage. The madridistas responded through Garuba (5), making his Euroleague debut today, but the home team went into half-time in front (41-38).

Poor second half
The restart was marked red from the off. Another fine spell early on saw the Germans fly into a significant lead, despite attempts by Randolph and Llull to stop the rot and Bayern Munich were solid enough up top to head into the final ten minutes at +10 (67-57). The gap grew even further (72-60) but Laso's boys fought hard to bring the deficit to just three (81-78). However, with just three minutes to go, another push from the hosts put the game to bed (95-86).
