"I’m very happy to receive an award from the fans", said the forward when picking up the award.
Karim Benzema was chosen as the Mahou Five Star Player for the month of September, an award he has received for the second time this season after also being selected in August. The striker received the award before training at Real Madrid City, recognising his merits last month, in which he scored a brace against Levante and scored the winning goal against Sevilla at the Sánchez-Pizjuán.

Fans choose the winner of this monthly prize through social networks, and the striker thanked them when collecting it: “Receiving a prize from the fans is always nice because it’s from your own fans and you play for them, so I’m very happy. Right now, I feel very good, like the whole team. Bit by bit we are improving and will soon be playing at a very high level in order to win every match”.

An important month
“We go into the next matches knowing that in football there are no easy games. It’s a very important month for us because the Champions League is back and we will have three very difficult games, but we are ready for them”.
