Real Madrid Foundation attends World Philanthropy Forum in Hong Kong

The organisation's managing director, Julio González Ronco, took part in the Sport and Philanthropy Day.
The Real Madrid Foundation last week took part in the World Philanthropy Forum held in Hong Kong. The Foundation's managing director, Julio González Ronco, participated in the panel discussion staged to mark the Sport and Philanthropy Day. He was joined by two-time Grand Slam tennis champion, Li Na; the secretary of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Li Xikui;  and the executive director and general secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Denmark, Morten Mølholm Hansen.
 
The event, organised by the CPAFFC, Tsinghua University, the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong aimed to discuss how to best foster solidarity and social work within global development under the title: Philanthropy in the Bay Area for Better Life. In his talk, González Ronco presented sport as a tool through which to promote healthy lifestyle habits and urban economic development, as well as the options offered by having a sporting spirit in terms of international cooperation and world peace.
