NEWS | 20/08/2019Over 200 participants enjoyed football and value-based sessions held in the cities of Curaçao and Bonaire.
The scheme, which was rolled out in the cities of Curaçao and Bonaire, saw a greater number of children offered access to high-quality sports training through intense football and value-based sessions, which were in line with the Foundation's educational methodology and benefited from the backing of the Real Madrid academy. In addition, intensive training courses were laid on for coaches, with a view to seeing a greater number of children benefit from the Foundation's methodology.
In view of how well the courses have been received amongst the participants, during the course of the final semester of 2019, further clinics are set to be staged in the cities of Aruba and Sint Maarten. The benefits of these training activities and the advanced football sessions will contribute to the sustainability of the Foundation's socio-sporting projects in the region, where the possibility of opening a permanent socio-sporting school for the integration of minors who are both at risk and free from exclusion is currently being considered.
