NEWS | 09/08/2019There will be a private plaza for public use in its place.
The first part of the work is focused on the Esquina del Bernabéu. In this space, Madrid is set to gain a private plaza for public use which will be fully integrated as part of the stadium renovation process, to be used by fans and the local population alike.
At Real Madrid's first game at the Santiago Bernabéu, which comes on Saturday 24 August at 7:00pm CEST against Real Valladolid, fans and members who come to the stadium will be greeted by a range of new additions:
- Ticket holders who usually access the ground via Gate 14 will come in through gates 12-14 with their current season ticket.
- Ticket holders who usually access the ground via Gate 15, which will no longer be in use, will enter via Gate 19, using the new season ticket sent out to them.
- Those who sit in sectors 439, 441, 443, 541, 543, 641, 643, 645, 705, 707 and 709 who usually access the ground via Gate 53 will come in via Gate 59, a new entrance set up alongside Gate 57, using the new season ticket sent out to them.
Season-ticket holders who will be affected by these changes upon access to their seat have already been personally informed via the standard club channels and via other methods designed specifically to handle the stadium renovation.
