Odriozola: “The teams looks hungry and there's a fantastic feeling around the place”

“I'm very happy with my recovery and to be back training with the group”, the full-back told Realmadrid TV.
Álvaro Odriozola is underway in pre-season training alongside the rest of the team in Montreal. The right-back, who has recovered from a fracture to his collar bone, has discussed how he's feeling with Realmadrid TV following the squad's third training session at the Montreal Impact's facilities: “I'm thrilled to be back training with the group. It's been a pretty tough two-and-a-half months not being able to be part of the team or contribute at all. Now I'm very happy and satisfied with my recovery. Everything has gone great and my collar bone is in perfect shape”.

“I'm very happy and I'm going to give it my all to make sure this is a great season. It's been a lot of hard work and sacrifice, and that's how you earn success. With my collar bone in the state it was, I've had to work very hard. Once you're back out on the pitch with your teammates, you reap the rewards of that hard work. I'm hugely grateful to the Real Madrid medical team and the physios, who have done an amazing job to get me back here with my teammates”.

“There's a great feeling around the place. We're working really well, people look so motivated. The team looks very hungry and eager to take on the challenges of this new season. We've got new challenges and the team will give it all they've got to bring joy to the fans once more, because they deserve it”.

“The key thing is to start feeling good, work hard and try to make sure everything is going well, then to head out on to the pitch without even thinking about it, so it all just comes to you like you're on autopilot. We're working really well, we're all happy and we're going to try and make sure it's a great season”.

Second season at the club
“The word is anticipation, hoping everything will go well. We want to win all the titles available, that's what this club demands. From a personal perspective I want to grow, give it 100%, provide assists and net the odd goal. I hope it's a fantastic season”.
