Eighth consecutive Endesa League final for Real Madrid

The Whites have always reached the final with Laso on the bench.
After the win against Valencia Basket in the third match played at La Fonteta, Real Madrid will now play the eighth consecutive Endesa League final. Since Laso took the reins at the Whites in the 2011/12 season, the team has qualified year after year for the last playoff round.
In 2011/12, Real Madrid beat Caja Laboral in a very tough semifinal over five games. A year later, they eliminated CAI Zaragoza in three matches before going on to be crowned champions against Barcelona. In the 2013/14 the opponent was Unicaja, who they beat 3-1. In the following two terms, the team led by Laso also beat Valencia Basket 3-1 and went on to win the league title both times. Two seasons ago against Unicaja, and the last campaign against Herbalife Gran Canaria they won before progressing to win the league title.
