Real Madrid beat Eintracht Frankfurt 7-3 in one of the best games in club history.
On the 18th May 1960, Real Madrid won the club's fifth European Cup in a row with a footballing masterclass against Eintracht Frankfurt. The game took place at Hampden Park in Glasgow and thanks to superb performances from Puskas (4 goals) and Di Stéfano (3), the Whites cancelled out the Germans' opening goal. 59 years on, it is still the highest-scoring final ever in the competition.
 
En route to the final, Real Madrid managed to get past Jeunesse Esch, Nice and Barcelona. The semi-final clash with the azulgranas was a tough clash, with the madridistas coming out on top winning both legs 3-1. Puskas finished the campaign as the top scorer with 12 goals.
