The Foundation takes part in the UN World Summit on the Information Society and Millennium Development Goals

Iñigo Arenillas, head of projects in Africa and the Middle East gave a talk titled 'Sport, Development and New Technologies'.
The head of the Real Madrid Foundation's projects in Africa and the Middle East, Íñigo Arenillas, has given a talk titled Sport, development and new technologies at the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society in order to promote Sustainable Development Goals.
The conference, arranged by various United Nations organisations, is the largest yearly meeting of the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) community for development. For the second time, Íñigo Arenillas has been part of the panel on Sport and Technology for Development. The Real Madrid Foundation have vast experience in Africa and the Middle East, having set up more than 100 socio-sporting projects and a dozen humanitarian aid programs through sport, benefitting more than 10,000 children across 40 countries in collaboration with leading local NGOs.
Information exchange
The World Summit on the Information Society is a prime opportunity to exchange data and best practices, to create knowledge, identify emerging trends and foster associations, all on the basis of information societies and in light of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
