Reyes: 15 seasons and 19 titles with Real Madrid

“I reached my target of wearing this jersey at the age of 40. I never thought I'd spend so long at such a big club", he explained.
Felipe Reyes will remain as captain of Real Madrid basketball for another season. He has been key in so many games and thousands of experiences since his debut for the Whites in the ACB league on October 3rd, 2004. Long with that, the power forward from Cordoba has lifted many trophies. He is the oldest player to play for Real Madrid and He has played the most games in the history of the Euroleague and ACB league: " I reached my target of wearing this jersey at the age of 40. I never thought I'd spend so long at such a big club."

I feel grateful towards the fans and the club for how they have treated me, they have given me everything over the years and knowing I am going to be here for one more year really feels like a dream come true. The key to success
"At Real Madrid everything is motivation, you want to keep fighting for titles and play one more year at the biggest club in the world. I feel a sense of pride and privilege when I say that I have spent so much time at this great club. It is hard to explain it, I feel so happy. The key is to keep working hard every day to get to the top, give everything in training and in every game, we have a coaching team around us who take care of us all, who treat us well and make you enjoy what you love doing even more, playing basketball."
Aiming for 1000 matches
Over the course of 15 seasons at Real Madrid, Reyes has played 990 games: 582 in the ACB League, 332 in the Euroleague, 39 in the Copa del Rey, 19 in the Super Cup, 16 in the ULEB and 2 in the Intercontinental Cup. He has won 19 titles as a Madridista: 2 Euroleague titles, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 6 League titles, 5 Copas del Rey, 4 Super Cups and 1 ULEB Cup, as well as being MVP of the ACB league once, featuring in the Euroleague best five, being named MVP in the League Final twice and featuring in the ACB League best five on four separate occasions. 

He has played the most games in the history of the Euroleague and Spanish league.

Last March, Reyes he became the player to have played the most matches in Euroleague history (344 so far), topping Navarro (341), Jankunas (314), Zisis (310) and Spanoulis (300), the only other players who have topped three hundred. Reyes itop for so many statistics within the Euroleague: most rebounds in competition history with 1780 and leader for offensive catches (695), third in terms of points scored (2992), second for two-pointers scored (956), third for defensive rebounds (1085) and fourth in overall PIR (3745).
The Madridista has won the Euroleague twice. The first time was in Madrid in front of a home crowd in 2015  and the second was in Belgrade last season. He was also named in the 2014-15 best five. 24 points, 15 rebounds and a PIR of 38 were his numebrs that time around. His debut for Real Madrid in the competición came on the 4th Noviembre 2004 against Cibona Zagreb, when he scored 12 points, got 12 rebounds and a PIR of 30.

The Cup
Last season he hit the milestone of most Copa del Rey games played in the ACB era with 47, one more than former Barcelona star Juan Carlos Navarro. It was his twentieth season in the competition, and 15 of those seasons were spent at Real Madrid. He is the most successful player in the Cup, having won six titles, the last five under Laso. His debut for Real Madrid was against his old team in the 2005 edition, held in Zaragoza, and since 2000 he has featured in each consecutive season.
Longest serving Whites player
On September 21st, he took to the court at the age of 38 years, 6 months and 5 days to take on Monbus Obradoiro in the Super Cup semi-finals, he became the oldest player to feature for Real Madrid, topping the previous record set by Toñín Llorente. "You have to have a lot of luck with injuries to reach a such a record," Reyes admitted.
