The trip to Guijuelo was one of the most difficult on paper for Real Madrid Castilla in the run in at the end of the season, as the reserves we unable to pick up a point in the play-off fight. Cristo scored again against one of the best teams in the second half of the season. Castilla had to adapt to conditions at the Municipal Guijuelo pitch and they reacted quickly.
With the 3 minutes on the clock, the first chance came after good play from Fran Garcia ended in a free kick, and the subsequent chance for Cristo went over the top. The speed and the ball bounce typical of artificial turf made it difficult to get the ball down and play but only the direct football by the home team caused any problems for Belman, who reacted very quickly in the half hour. Before the break, Lopez played a ball in to the area and Cristo brought it down and put it away to give Castilla the lead.
Guijuelo game out firing in the second half and only took two minutes to get the leveller. However the men from Salamanca were reduced to ten men after the constant fouls on Madrid. Cristo (54 ') and Javi Sánchez (57') tried their luck from set pieces while Fidalgo had a great chance that ended in a corner. The match picked up pace in the final stages but Madrid remained dominant, before a counterattack with ten minutes left to play killed the game but Castilla continue to fight.
