NEWS | 23/03/2019

The captain scored the winner against Norway, while Asensio and Ceballos were also in the starting eleven.
Spain beat Norway in their Group F opener in the Euro 2020 qualifiers. As always, there were madridistas representing Spain, with RamosAsensio and Ceballos in the starting XI. The captain snatched a win for La Roja with a Panenka penalty to make it five consecutive games in which Sergio Ramos has scored for Spain.

Spain dominated at the Mestalla and took little time to go ahead. On 16’, Asensio started the play leading to Rodrigo's goal, with an assist from Jordi Alba. There was more of the same control to come in the game but Norway levelled with a penalty converted by Joshua King around the hour mark. Sergio Ramos proved his mettle just minutes later, sending home from the penalty spot to give Spain their first three points on the road to Euro 2020.
