All of them came in three consecutive Groups Stages and Benzema scored in three matches.
Real Madrid and Ajax will star in one of the eight round of 16 Champions League matches. The previous games between the two team have gone in favour of the champions of Europe, with the Whites putting together a run of six wins over the Dutch side.
All the victories have come in three consecutive Group Stages. The most recent took place in the 2012/13 season, where Real Madrid won by the same score line: 4-1 at the Bernabéu and 4-1 in Amsterdam. The campaign before something similar happened: 3-0 to Real Madrid in the Netherlands and 3-0 in Madrid. The wins for the Whites in 2010/11 were by 4-0 away and 2-0 at home.
Benzema, star in three matches
Karim Benzema scored in three of those six games during this run of victories. He opened the scoring in the 4-0 win in Amsterdam in the Group Stage of the 2010/11 season, got the last one at the Bernabéu (3-0) a season later and scored again in Holland in the 4-1 win during the 2012/13 campaign. This last goal came after a spectacular acrobatic finish.
