Ramos, Marcelo, Carvajal, Odriozola and Varane have 13 goals between them.
Real Madrid defenders have weighed in with a total of 13 goals so far this season, with five different players having been on target. Sergio Ramos leads the way with seven goals to his name, with several of his strikes coming courtesy of his immaculate record from the penalty spot, which again came to the fore in the Copa del Rey round of 16 first-leg tie against Leganés. The captain is followed in these rankings by Marcelo, who has been on the scoresheet three times this campaign. The Brazilian netted against Levante, Viktoria Plzen and Barcelona in three successive outings, which represented an unprecedented feat in his career.

Carvajal notched the team's first goal in the current LaLiga campaign, against Getafe, whilst Odriozola opened his account in the Copa del Rey last-32 meeting against Melilla. The list of the team's goalscoring defenders is completed by Varane, who struck in the side's trip to Villarreal.

On target in all competitions
The five stoppers have bagged goals in all of the competitions the madridistas are involved in this season. Ramos has scored in the Club World Cup, LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Super Cup; Carvajal and Varane have chipped in with efforts in LaLiga; Marcelo has notched in the Champions League and LaLiga; whilst Odriozola has found the net in the Copa del Rey.

Javi Sánchez
The Castilla centre-back has also been amongst the goals for the first team this term. In his debut at the Santiago Bernabéu he scored against Melilla with a close-range effort from inside the six-yard box.
