Over 150 youngsters revelled in watching their idols in the session held at the New York University campus.
Pupils from the Real Madrid Foundation schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai attended the team's first training session at the facilities of the New York University Abu Dhabi. Over 150 children got the chance to see their heroes at close quarters and enjoyed watching the team get put through their paces as they prepare for Wednesday's Club World Cup semi-final clash against  Kashima Antlers (Wednesday, 5:30pm CET, 8:30pm local time).
The two aforementioned schools are run in collaboration with Baniyas Sports and the Spanish Home Office. The youngsters take part in sports activities and workshops on peaceful conflict resolution as they develop their communication skills. One element to be highlighted is the positive impact that the socio-sporting programme has had in terms of the social integration of the youngsters from the Arab immigrant community. In addition, 60 youngsters are currently taking part in the Foundation's clinic in Abu Dhabi.
