The Real Madrid and KPMG Foundations renew their collaboration for the Emprendeporte project

NEWS | 05/11/2018

Both entities will work together for the fifth consecutive season and allocate more than a hundred places for the unemployed.
The executive vice president of the Real Madrid Foundation, Enrique Sánchez, and the director of the KPMG Foundation, Pedro León y Francia, have signed the renewal of the collaboration agreement between both entities at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, in the presence of the director of Institutional Relations of the Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueño. The Emprendeporte project, in which both entities collaborate with the Madrid Employment Agency, was born as a pilot project in 2015 and has been consolidated due to its success.

The attention and assistance for those suffering from unemployment is everyone's responsibility and the KPMG Foundation has a broad program with actions to promote employment such as labour speed dating, workshops on how to present the CV and other activities that help in this area.

Finding employment
The Real Madrid Foundation, using tools of sports psychology in combination with weekly physical exercise, works with long-term unemployed participants to improve their quality of life and their wellbeing to face the job search with new tools acquired thanks to sport. This teamwork from both entities has paid off in recent years with more than 17% of the participants going on to find a job.
