"The academic project is well consolidated and more than 10,000 students have graduated since 2006", said Emilio Butragueño at the opening ceremony, which took place at the Bernabéu.
Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid and General Director of the Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea, was in charge of the inauguration of the 2018/19 academic year in the Santiago Bernabéu's presidential box. The event was also attended by Juan Morote, rector of the European University; and Álvaro Arbeloa, ex-Real Madrid player.
Butragueño addressed about 450 students of more than 51 nationalities, who will complete the thirteenth promotion since this educational project was launched: "Our school is a solid reality and the academic project is well consolidated. It is an honour and a responsibility to you as students and as people. We want to share a series of values ​​that define our school, are those that differentiate people and institutions. Five are the ones we choose: integrity, entrepreneurship, teamwork, leadership and excellence".
"Real Madrid has a firm commitment to the school. Only teamwork allows us to achieve the objectives set every year. We are the only club that has a University School".

450 students from more than 51 nationalities complete the thirteenth promotion.

"More than 10,000 students have graduated since 2006. In addition, this year we have signed an agreement with Beijing Sports University, one of the most prestigious in China. On behalf of all of us who form part of the school, it’s a pleasure to welcome you".

The event concluded with a conversation between Butragueño and Arbeloa, Whites’ legends, in the presence of the new students from the school, who also had the opportunity to ask questions to the two-time Champions League winner and now Real Madrid ambassador. The opening of the course ended with the traditional group photo.
