The champions start their title defense this Thursday against Darussafaka (9:00pm CEST).
The Euroleague is back for the reigning champions. 144 days after winning la Décima in BelgradeReal Madrid are getting started up in Europe's biggest club competition yet again. They will face the Eurocup champions Darussafaka first. Real Madrid are in their 18th Euroleague season, their twelfth in a row.

Having won in 2015 and 2018 as well as featuring in five of the last six Final Fours, the Whites are the ones to watch. Vitoria will host the final between the 15th and 17th May 2019, is what the madridistas are aiming for. The team have a long way to go in the current format of the competition, which is now in its third season. The Regular Phase features 30 games, taking place between the 11th October to the 5th April. The top eight will qualify for the playoffs, which will be played from the 16th to the 30th April. The top four will then play for the title.

The Real Madrid captains can continue to make history in the EuroleagueReyes is top rebounder (1734) and can clinch the record for most appearances made, if all goes well this season. He is on 322 and just 19 behind Navarro, who has now retired. He is third on the list in terms of points (2.905) and PIR. Llull is sixth in terms of three-pointers made (377 and seventh in terms of assists (920).
