The Whites got 109 points against Darussafaka in their Euroleague opener.
Real Madrid’s offensive exhibition in the first Euroleague match against the Turkish side Darussafaka is the highest-scoring performance from the Whites for almost four years in this competition. You have to go back to November 2014, when they won 115-94 against Dinamo Sassari, with Laso on the bench.

"I prefer winning a quarter 38-31 than 28-21. I like offensive basketball". These are the words of the Real Madrid coach after the big Euroleague opener. A playing philosophy that he established as soon as he arrived at the club in the 2011/12 season and that has led the team to win 16 titles in the last eight years.

Seven from the record
Yesterday, against the reigning Eurocup champions, the team again showed their attacking power. They scored 38 points in a quarter, the third, and 91 in the first three. Ending with 109, their seventh highest score in the history of the competition, and the fourth in the Laso era, just seven points off the record against the Ovarense in the 2000/01 season with 116.
