Asensio, Ramos and Isco all netted in Spain's win over Modric's Croatia, whilst Courtois was a starter in Belgium's second win of the international break.Thirteen Real Madrid players have been called up to represent their national teams in the first international matches of the new season. Varane, Kroos, Bale, Courtois, Ramos, Nacho, Carvajal, Isco, Asensio, Casemiro and Valverde have featured in their national team's fixtures.

The Spanish national team followed up on their fine win at Wembley with a rout against Croatia. The squad's six Real Madrid representatives all made the starting XI and produced key performances: Ramos, Asensio and Isco were amongst the goals; Carvajal and the Majorca-born attacker claimed assists; whilst Ceballos made his full national team debut.

France-Holland (2-1)
Varane played the full game as captain for the world champions in their win over Holland at the Stade de France. On Thursday they played out a goalless draw with Germany at the Allianz Arena.

A finalist in the last World Cup and recently named UEFA Men's Player of the Year, Luka Modric, is back with his national team for a friendly clash with Portugal which ended all square in which the madridista played 55 minutes. In his side's Nations League meeting with Spain, Modric captained the side throughout the whole game.

Gareth Bale was captain and played the whole match in Wales' defeat in Denmark. In the first match, Bale continued his great form at the start of this season as he led the Welsh team in their clash with Ireland, scoring and also laying on an assist.

Following their excellent World Cup campaign, Belgium blew Scotland away in the sides' friendly meeting. Courtois, sporting a pair of golden gloves after being named the Golden Glove in Russia, produced a fine display as he registered a clean sheet. In his team's next outing, against Iceland, he once again recorded a shutout in his Nations League debut.

Brazil-El Salvador (5-0)
Casemiro played 45 minutes in the victory against El Salvador in a match played in Washington. In the first, against the United States, he played the whole match.

Valverde was called up for Uruguay, taking the place of the injured Cristian Rodríguez in the squad. He featured in the final few minutes of his side's win over Mexico.
