NEWS | 10/09/2018Special events and outreach initiatives have been a feature of a year packed full of sporting and charity events.
Besides the aforementioned concert, the Real Madrid Foundation has organised some special events over the course of the year, including: Juan López's Una exposición con alma (An exhibition with soul); the Jornada Jurídica del Deporte como derecho fundamental (Legal Sports Day as a fundmental right); Real, el concierto, (Real, the concert) at the Teatro Real; the Corazón Classic Match; the 1st Carrera Virtual (1st Virtual Race); and the I Torneo internacional de Ajedrez Jaque Mate al Alzheimer (1st Jaque Mate International Chess Tournament to raise funds for Alzheimer).
All of these events have helped to raise funds for integration, education and cooperation projects across the globe: 468 socio-sporting projects in 77 countries, which benefit over 53,000 people each season.
These projects ensure that sporting activities are a childhood right and a tool for integration, inclusion and a means to support the least fortunte members of society: individuals with various disabilities, those suffering from illness, the unemployed, the elderly or those in prison, as well as any minor or wishes to enjoy sporting activities and the values that come with them.
