NEWS | 11/09/2018Real Madrid players took centre stage in the national team, with six members of the squad making the starting XI.
A special mention goes to Dani Ceballos, who made his debut for the full national team. The first goal of the game came in the 25th minute, when Carvajal joined the attack and sent in an inviting cross with the outside of his boot that Saúl headed home to hand Spain the lead.
It was then time for Asensio, who put in an excellent performance, to come to the fore. In two similar moves, which came one after the other, the Majorca-born man showcased his biggest asset and unleashed two thumping left-footed efforts from range. The first saw Spain double their advantage before his second strike was turned into his own net by Kalinic to put the hosts three goals to the good. After the interval, the Real Madrid attacker laid on the fourth goal for Rodrigo. Sergio Ramos and Isco also benefited from assists from their club teammate to score the last two goals of the night.
